Why You Should Hustle Harder When You’re Emotional AF. Women On Topp - Womenontopp.com. Ladies

Ladies, we have all had those times in life where we feel like we are just getting plowed over again and again with punch after punch, no matter how hard we work, strive, and resist.  It can be mentally and emotionally exhausting, yielding a lot of chaos and confusion within our seemingly balanced lives.  Honestly, I notice this happen the most during the summer to fall transition, so I wanted to share this article with you as soon as I could.  Having recognized this pattern in my own life and reflecting on what happens, how I respond, and what comes of it, I decided to share with you some insight on what to do when you feel this way and why it’s important to accelerate on your goals. (PS: Let us know your thoughts in the comments on Women On Topp!)

The Universe Is Testing You

When we experience setbacks and resistance from outside our control, it’s usually a deeper message that change is inevitable, as well as necessary. The more we resist these messages, the louder they will become until it becomes so uncomfortable for us that there is no other option left but to evolve.  Change can be scary, but have you reached your “big time” goals staying where you are?  Obviously not, or else you wouldn’t have to still be labeling them as goals.  Therefore, when I experience setbacks and resistance against what I want, I change my mindset to what does the universe want. When I’ve wished and worked but nothing budges, that tells me I need to change.  Often times the setbacks are placed in our path to see if we are willing to fight and sacrifice for the goals we’ve set.  Sure, anyone can wish and work, but can everyone demonstrate resilience and patience when the hard times come to get to that next level?  No.  And that’s the difference.

Time To Accelerate

When this happens, many will see it as a time to slow down.  Upset, frustrated, drained—this is the time when it’s easiest and expected to give up.  I challenge you, however, to push harder.  This isn’t the time to throw in the towel and sulk in all that didn’t go right.  This is the time to get resourceful and creative, tapping into opportunities surrounding you.  The more creative you can get in these moments, the easier it is to get over the setbacks.  When you can create an energy within yourself that everything is working out in your favor, regardless, you can be more at ease in finding the next step. Trust me, there are silver linings all over the place, if you can look outside the dark to find them.

Expect A Battle

I’m not saying this is easy, that you change your mindset and sit around waiting to be blessed with opportunities.  It will still be hard, emotional, and daunting; yet, well worth it.  Battle it out, get super focused and refined on what vision you are fighting for, and fight until you get there.  This isn’t overnight success, ladies.  And if it was, would you even want it?  Take pride in suiting up to slay the goals you have set for yourself.  Let it get ugly before it gets beautiful.  Hard work, dirty hands, sweat on the forehead, tears streaming down your face—take them all as symbols of being a woman who loves herself enough to fight for what she deserves.

Are you an Executive or Entrepreneur or Neither?

Many of you would have heard of Gary Vaynerchuk, whether you love him or hate him you will have to admit that he does speak the truth when it comes to entrepreneurship. One of the questions he has asked people to answer for themselves is ‘Are you an executive or are you an entrepreneur?’ I would then add ‘Or are you neither?’
