FAN, no we don’t mean the object that you use to keep yourself cool or used in machinery we are talking about the Financial Aid Network (FAN). Powered by two worldclass women, this company provides essential state of the art college preparation, financial literacy and student loan debt management services to individuals and businesses.

So many have said ‘I can’t go to college because I can’t afford it’ this limiting belief has unfortunately been a result of both ‘nature and nurture’ influences such as values and ideas from society and culture. Michelle Obama speaks about ‘Context’ and how it is important to consider context – personally, environmentally, historically, economically, politically etc when it comes to any given individual and situation. This contributes to limiting beliefs people have today.

FAN makes dreams become reality by enabling people

In this day and age, everyone should have the choice, regardless of their background or current situation. FAN are pioneers and leaders in the field of higher education, they are making dreams become reality by enabling people.

They do this through the different programs and services that they provide such as financial aid programs, college preparation, scholarship and placement research, financial literacy and student default prevention services. They also provide a contact solutions call centre.

Many of you would have heard the famous Chinese proverb, ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime’. It is not about giving someone money, it is about enabling them to seek and gain funding and without the education and knowledge needed about finances many will (and many have) fall victim to the perils that come from bad debt and poor money management.

FAN provides the education, support, and strategy for each individual thus enabling them to make their dream of pursuing higher education become reality, and to do so in a healthy, sustainable and successful way.

The credentials of each specialist is impressive, each individual is a college professional expert with 30 years of higher education experience. Changes are happening all the time and FAN make it a priority to keep up to date with the everevolving trends in college admissions and federal guidelines.

FAN itself has over two decades of experience in the college environment offering unparalleled support to thousands of students and families. They are passionate and focused on helping students succeed, which includes helping the family with college planning.

The success is not only of how many successful students they have helped but through the business growth evident by the diversification of services and expansion to two offices, one in Orlando and one in New York.

Not only do they work with students and their families, but they also partner with small businesses and large organisations to provide the student loan debt management and financial literacy program as part of their benefit package to their employees. They design a unique roadmap specific to each company to ensure the successful enrollment of their employees on the right program

FAN is proud to be SBA certified as a Women-Owned Business (WOB) and as an Economically Disadvantaged WomenOwned Business (EDWOB Certified)

Beverley Chisholm, Founder and President of FAN with her extensive credentials in the field of financial aid and student loan management  (She is a certified financial aid professional by the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAA); has also worked as a Director of Financial Aid and a Dean of Finance at different Ivy League Colleges and Universities. She had the vision to educate and empower families to make the right decision regarding their college process and founded FAN in 2011 which has now become a Global Institute for College Planning. She leads her team to differentiate itself with outstanding service and exceptional depths of commitment to the students/individuals they counsel daily.

This global business growth can be attributed to the collective efforts of the team of management and higher educational professionals however this is largely led by the Chief Administrative Officer, Trinice Chisholm. Demonstrated through a record of accomplishments and spearheading, creating and managing several marketing campaigns, this has led to generating significant international and local business growth and success. This includes building an innovative structured internship program that provides students/individuals with hands-on-training and guidance to strengthen their skills and increase their knowledge in the areas of small business.

As a result of FAN’s expertise, both Beverley and Trinice were invited to sit on the Business Advisory Board for a local college. There was a time when what FAN offers were not available, or if it was it was not available to all. FAN is making the ‘Impossible’ become ‘Possible’ for thousands of people across the country and the world and they will continue to serve as long as they are needed.
