Managing Your Fears & Emotions In Difficult Periods

In this era of non-stop, uncertainty, social media, planned obsolescence, and immediacy we find easiest to share the positive aspects of our life. Inspiring each other is great but, what about the flip side of the coin?

Strong women are identified by their resilience, by their self- sufficiency and positivity. Even though, that doesn’t mean sometimes they haven ́t the need to break down and allow vulnerability. Our emotions are part of the language that our body uses to warn us of the best path to choose, to push us to make changes we need, and help us (re)connecting. Observe yourself and be aware that take a break doesn’t mean weakness but (re)adjustment.

Find out four (4) paths to help you recovering when you get a breakdown moment.

Treat yourself

Sometimes we forget to be gentle with ourselves. It’s really important to pamper yourself, indulge yourself, and allow yourself to do whatever that makes you feel better in a healthy way. Stop obsessing about focus or being your most productive and give your mind what really needs. Self-love and caring is the first pace to overcome a bad day or/and period.

Talk to your trusted people

Openly communication with friends and family can be the best ‘antidote’ for good health in every way, and especially for mental health. During crisis periods there’s nothing better than sharing with a loved one. Talk to them. There’s no need to talk specifically about what’s troubling you, but spending a few moments out of your mind, laughing, and sharing complicity has an effective healing effect.

Talk to yourself to re-define your values

Low moments are a perfect opportunity to know ourselves better, disinfect old wounds, reflect, and set new goals. Creating counter-arguments for each of your fears is a powerful practice that will make you overcome those moments. Choose the options that bring you joy, believe in yourself and you will greater see how every day is a new chance to create your best.

Shine!

We have all experienced the peace that we feel after letting ourselves be for a while. Once you feel ready to finish your hours, days or weeks break, come back more motivated than ever, clear ideas, and all set to bright and shine just as you know how to do it.
