Ignorance Is A Time Waster – How To Gain More Clarity

Ignorance Is A Time Waster - How To Gain More Clarity womenontopp.com women on topp

We’ve all heard the saying “ignorance is bliss,” a belief that what we don’t know won’t hurt us.  I honestly use to believe this. I would roll with the punches and talk around things, never getting clear on what I knew I didn’t want to hear the truth to.  It’s easy to want to avoid what makes us uncomfortable or to hear that something we want so badly isn’t for us.  I’ll tell you though, avoiding asking the questions I didn’t want to hear the answers to and strutting around in my rose colored glasses, essentially living in the dark, always hurt me so much more than it protected me.  Eventually I hit a breaking point with the ideology and decided to get more direct in my life, even when it was painful.  The clarity as a result of it is unbeatable and the bounce back rate is much faster than when I use to let things sit still.

Therefore, I want to share with you ladies ways that you can get more direct and gain more clarity so that you aren’t content with the uncertainty of “ignorance” and subject to wasting your valuable time. (PS: Let us know your thoughts in the comments on Women On Topp!)

Trust Your Intuition

As women, we are blessed with a heightened intuitive sense.  We know when things just don’t feel right.  Sometimes this knowing is hard to deal with because our mind and heart are at war.  We see a vision of what we want for ourselves, yet our gut is telling us something different.  This is scary for sure. However, the longer we avoid it the louder it will become and the more time we invest into worrying about it, the more we will dampen our creative energy.  The second you feel a consistent push back from your intuition, check in with the disconnect.  Express where you are coming from and the energy you’re picking up on.  Ask in a way that is curious as oppose to accusing, because there could be more than what is on surface.  Asking questions will give you more to go off of when deciding your next move.

Skip Avoidance

The reason I use to avoid the initiation to clarity so much was because I didn’t want to be the one to “ruin” things.  If I asked the questions or initiated the truth and discomfort that came with it, then I would be responsible for whatever fell apart as a result of.

Listen, lT WILL FALL APART ANYWAY, if that is what’s meant to happen.  Do NOT take that burden on.  What’s meant to be will happen anyways regardless of when it happens or how it happens.

Being brave enough to call light to a situation will pick you out of the seat of the “victim” to circumstance.  You have to train your mind to believe that you are doing what is best for you as oppose to ruining anything.  It is so much easier to glorify what could be as oppose to seeing the reality of a situation.  Don’t be afraid of taking control from the start.

Communication Is Key

Communicate from a place of wanting to get answers.  If what you hear doesn’t sit well with you, then leave it behind. Knowledge truly is power.  Direct knowledge from the source of the situation will give you all you need to make an informed decision.  Most of the time we make decisions based off what we don’t know, but rather what we assume.  We need to put a stop to this pattern because more often than not this leads us to failure or self-sabotage. Communication on all levels—words, body language, and energy—are all worthy of direct questioning.  Get to the bottom of things and put your mind to rest from overthinking the “what-ifs.” You deserve to get your time and energy back!
