Hi, I’m Kimberly Rosales, a mother of four amazing boys, a Latina CEO in fintech, and a woman who knows what it’s like to lose yourself while building everything for everyone else. In 2019, I went through a painful divorce that turned my life upside down. What followed was the most terrifying, and liberating, journey of my life. I’m sharing my story because I know there are women reading this right now who are standing in that same silent storm. This one is for you!
The Challenge
I divorced in 2019 after years of emotional and psychological and financial abuse. But even after the separation, the mistreatment didn’t stop. I spent years being harassed and controlled from a distance while trying to protect my children and rebuild a sense of peace. At the same time, I was expected to function, lead, and smile. In 2020, I launched ChainMyne, a crypto OTC company, right in the middle of my personal chaos. On the outside, I was a rising entrepreneur as ChainMyne rose to success. On the inside, I was constantly in survival mode. Eventually, I reached a breaking point. In 2023, I moved to Costa Rica, the land where I was born, with my boys to start fresh. I didn’t know what life would look like, but I knew it was time to choose healing over fear. It was raw. Lonely. Uncertain. But I knew deep down, it was the beginning of something. I just didn’t know what yet..
The Journey
Healing wasn’t linear. There were days I felt strong and days I cried on the floor while my kids slept in the next room. But something inside me, call it instinct, call it spirit, refused to let this be the end. I started small. Connecting with nature. Making new friends. Therapy.. Oh the therapy! Lifting weights and slowly rebuilding my sense of self. I promised myself one thing: I would become a woman my boys could be proud off and not just because I survived, but because I chose myself. Professionally, I turned back to my roots in FINTECH. I didn’t want to just rebuild my business—I wanted to build it better.
I restructured ChainMyne, made compliance tighter, services more personal, found support in an amazing team and doubled down on supporting people new to crypto, especially women. I stopped hiding. I started showing up as I was: imperfect, Latina, a single mom in the crypto space. And you know what happened? Women started reaching out. People saw themselves in me. I realized my vulnerability wasn’t a liability, it was my superpower! I also launched educational events in Costa Rica, teaching locals how crypto can empower them financially. For the first time, I wasn’t just running a company, I was leading a movement rooted in inclusion, courage, and legacy.
The Outcome
Today, I’m the CEO of a thriving crypto firm with a global footprint, but more importantly, I am a woman who came home to herself. I live in the jungle with my boys, barefoot most days, building a business that aligns with my values. We’re scaling ChainMyne across borders, sponsoring events, educating communities, and redefining what wealth and success look like for people like us. And the most beautiful part? I’m doing it as me. No masks. No performance. Just heart, grit, and truth. That divorce didn’t break me, it built me. That fall gave me flight.
Final Message
To the woman reading this who feels stuck, silenced, or scared, I see you girl! I was you. And I’m here to tell you: it’s okay to burn down the life that’s burning you out. You are not behind. You are not broken. You are becoming. Start messy. Start scared. Just start. Your voice matters. Your dreams are valid. And your next chapter? It’s yours to write. Remember, your power was never lost, it was just waiting for you to remember who you are.
