Women On Topp spoke with Dr. Ally about her experiences as an incredibly motivated, business-minded woman.

What has been some of your greatest stories involving NEUROorganics Inc.?

The greatest story NEUROorganics Inc. is the impact the Dalai Lama’s has had on it. In October 2019, while I was in my Doctorate program, I was awarded a Fellowship to complete health and safety teaching in India to influence their health care system and education curriculum. During my time there, I had the opportunity to meet and speak with His Holiness, the Dalai Lama about the rise of mental health numbers in western society. With his wisdom, the Dalai Lama brought forward the conclusion as to why there is a rise in the number of people suffering from mental health issues:  underutilization of your intuition. This built-in mechanism that we all have is undervalued, and when we do try to access it for guidance, we misinterpret or ignore its signals, therefore we remain suffering.

As a result, NEUROorganics borrows western philosophies of mental health care and fuses lessons learned in eastern approaches to care that have been influenced by the Dalai Lama, to provide a gateway for our clients to learn how to use their mind as an asset, rather than be a victim to it.  To do this, our clients find relief from their internal suffering from fueling pain from their past into something purposeful for their future. This has been and will continue to be the greatest story of NEUROorganics

If you could sum up your career in three words, what would they be?

Risk. Rejection. Re-direction.

My career could not have evolved without taking a risk on myself and receiving a rejection from potential business partners, clients, and social networks. However, without risk and rejection, I could not have been given the humbling opportunity to be re-directed in how to service my clients in NEUROorganics. For this reason, I am an advocate for celebrating failures, mistakes, as well as taking ownership to personal faults and accepting the lessons that are given to me. Without this trifecta, I would not be where I am today. More importantly, my clients would not yield the best results today in NEUROorganics without this important journey.

What are your current areas of focus?

My current and prospective areas of focus are in the mental health entrepreneurial and investment sectors. My commitment to optimizing the mental wellness journies of my clients and empowering business development to serve larger audiences are passions that I plan to accelerate in NEUROorganics Inc. In addition to these ongoing passions, I plan on engaging additional platforms that I am a part of to support my multi-prong foci. I am currently Ms. Kitchener United World 2022 and competing for the title holder Ms. Canada United World, followed by Ms. United World. As a pageant title holder, I use my title to elevate the mental wellness of my clients by demonstrating you do not have to limit your potential by living in a singular checkbox. In other words, you can use the platform that you are passionate about by cross-pollinating your wisdom and expertise across industries.

If you could give one piece of advice to future students, what would it be?

Do not take the easy road. Earn your career, relationships, physical body, hobbies, and anything else your heart desires. A quote that I subscribe to is by Denzel Washington: “ease is the greatest threat to progress than hardship.” Ease does not build character ethic, values, and intangible skillsets such as patience, resiliency, and confidence. Ease is a Band-Aid effect that will create a lack of hunger to go after your dreams. This mantra is what I attribute my personal and professional success to, which I also share with my students and clients in NEUROorganics

To what do you attribute your success?

While I have put in years into growing my personal and professional portfolios, I attribute my success to my given, spiritual, and chosen families. Each person in these support systems of mine thoughtfully challenged, supported, and celebrated the success of NEUROorganics. Of these important people in my life, I especially credit my Mom for the success of NEUROorganics. When I was in India and I called to tell my Mom that I was going to meet the Dalai Lama, she said to me “Shara, make sure that if you have the opportunity to speak with him, you do it.” Moments before I was given this chance, I second-guessed myself if I should even take it! My Mom’s voice popped into my head, and now because of her thoughtful encouragement, our clients are receiving thoughtful and meaningful care through NEUROorganics

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Fall in love with the uncomfortable. It will be your greatest learning tool for success. Now, more than ever do I seek out a new challenge that brings me discomfort because this is the only way personal, professional, and entrepreneurial investments such as, NEUROorganics can grow.

What is the one piece of advice that has impacted you the most?

A piece of advice that I learned at an early age is from my favorite author, Stephen Covey: start with the end in mind, which is death. In NEUROorganics, we work with our clients using this lens in mind as the NEUROorganicsperspective on this advice is everything is in abundance except for your time, and secondary to that is your energy. When it comes to mental wellness, business, and entrepreneurship, there is nothing more expensive than investing your time and energy into people, things, and events that do not invest back into you. Your time and energy are limited resources that are high in value. The way you choose to use it is a sign of self-respect and worth. Choose wisely.

What has been your key (or keys) to success?

The primary key to my success, which I share with my clients in NEUROorganics is this: the quality of your life is determined by the quality of the relationships you have with yourself and with others. In other words, you can do all of the mental health work you want on yourself, but not yield positive results because of the mindsets you surround yourself with. If there is a lack of inspiration in the conversations you are having with yourself and others, your success will be negatively impacted. The qualities of these two relationships are strongly correlated with your self-esteem, self-worth, ambition, drive, and motivation. Understanding the importance of the integrity and integration of high-quality relationships in my life has allowed success to follow me, not the other way around.

Do you believe in destiny or do you think you can control your fate?

A key principle in NEUROorganics is fueling your pain from your past into your purpose for your future. Well-developed mental health habits are the key indicator to ensure you have strategically learned how to use your pain toward an intended future.

Your habits are found in five key domains: your thoughts, words, actions, reactions, and behaviors. Consistent habits induce discipline. Discipline influences goals. Without consistent discipline and setting goals, you do not have control, nor do you have a desired destiny or fate to work toward. In other words, life is going to happen to you rather than you making life happen for you.

Tell us about your proudest achievement?

My proudest achievement is helping my clients in NEUROorganics get to the other side of suffering. This achievement demonstrates the importance in the work NEUROorganics provides as it helps to shape healthier individuals, families, and communities. Mental health and wellness is not to be underestimated, nor can you ever graduate from it. The NEUROorganics methods of fueling your pain from your past into a purposeful future for yourself, allows you to live with improved self-awareness, self-worth, and internal peace and happiness.

What sacrifices have you had to make during life?

NEUROorganics was not a success overnight. I was in school for nearly a decade, simultaneously working full-time. I had to sacrifice a lifestyle that many people my age indulged in: partying, getting married, having children, spending time with loved ones. While at the time these felt like sacrifices, in retrospect, I now see that I would not have found the same joy in these activities as I do with entrepreneurship, mental health, and business.  I now understand that I am built for ambition, passion, and independence. As a result, I am not only a Doctor and Business Owner who has been recognized in publications including been recongized by publications including Forbes, Vogue Magazine, and Digital Health Buzz., but I am also Ms. Kitchener United World 2022 and competing for the titles holder Ms. Canada United World and Ms. United World. I am a public speaker, published author, Professor, Investor, Philanthropist, and Volunteer.

So, I would not call them sacrifices per se, I would call them my leverage in life toward success for myself and my brilliant clients.
