Backed with her knowledge and skills as a trained esthetician, Tatyanna Rodriguez was able to create a skincare line that naturally blends health and beauty to address the most important needs and meet the most demanding requirements in skincare.
What was initially intended to address her own demanding skincare requirements, Tatyskinandbeauty has become a natural cosmeceutical line in the market that nurtures, soothes and rejuvenates.

What does your work entail?
I’ve been a licensed esthetician for almost 3 years now, there are so many services in this industry, but my work includes facials, body waxing, body facials, brows and my skincare line. I like to focus on using natural products during my facial services and in my skincare line. My skincare line is handmade by me, I originally made my skincare to help my skin because I suffered from large pores and texture on my cheeks as well as lots of redness. I also had hyperpigmentation from previous acne. I made this skincare and adjusted it to my clients and it’s just slowly worked for everyone and has helped so many people.
What are your Tatyskinandbeauty goals currently?
My goal for Tatyskinandbeauty is to definitely expand. I want to create more skincare products as well as create other products for the body in the future. I really want to get more into holistic health, because my skincare really focuses on healing the skin by using these natural products. I just got a new space so I can take more clients and expand my services so I’m very excited about that. I think the vision right now is to just stay focused creating nothing but great and new products I know my clients will really love.
How do you get unstuck creatively, creating all these beautiful products?
I have so many moments of feeling stuck. Especially with making skincare and creating content. I just don’t like feeling bored or doing repetitive things so I’m always trying to think outside the box. I think what helps me is physically writing things out. If I have days where I’m brainstorming what to make for content, I will literally map out a post and make it. For products when I get stuck I turn to my clients. I ask them what they like in their skin routines and what they would want. I ask them their problem areas on their skin and I try to find ways to treat them using these natural products and I kinda just put things together over time. Making a product can take months, and I change my ingredients constantly until I’m happy with it. It’s all trial and error. But listening to my clients and just really making a layout helps me get unstuck creatively.
Describe your customers!
I am really blessed to have the customers and clients I have. My clients are very comfortable with me I would say, but that’s because I make them feel comfortable of course. I have a really great bond with a lot of my clients. We will sit and talk during the whole service like we’ve known each other for years. I have a great support system with my clients that I am beyond grateful for, they trust me, they support me and I genuinely feel they are proud of me. And I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without them!
How do you get people talking about your company? Do you use marketing strategies?
Thankfully for me I have the best clients and my business really got poppin from word of mouth. Out of nowhere I had a couple of local girls share my things and more people shared every day and it got me many clients. And lots of people to purchase my skincare. And from the endless results I’ve had, I’ve gained a lot of trust and it’s just been booming from there. Now I obviously market by making certain posts to show everyone what I do, and my clients market for me when they make these posts and share them which I appreciate so much.
What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful business owner?
The top 3 skills I would say are consistency, taking criticism, and being able to work well with others. I feel like these 3 things can really make or break your business. Consistency is the hardest thing. And no matter where you are in your business you’ll always have to be and stay consistent. Or your business can really hurt. You literally get what you give. Being able to take criticism is also very important because not everyone is going to love what you do, but you have to be able to push through those hurdles and stay focused. As well as sometimes you can actually improve a lot about your business by being open-minded, taking criticism and turning it into something positive. And lastly being able to work with others. Being able to be a team player and work with others is so important because your business will grow, you will eventually need to either hire a team and you will meet so many people along the way. When people can work well with you things flow greatly and who doesn’t want a great flowing business.
Tell us more about your services, how does this work?
I provide full body services, I offer many different facials for men and women, such as a 24k gold facial, or my most popular the dermaplaining facial. I offer full body waxing, brow services, back facials, booty facials, and vagacials. My facial services are done with all-natural skin care products to help heal your skin concerns and keep the skin healthy. It comes with a chest and shoulder massage and is so relaxing you might fall asleep. My body waxing is very popular especially my Brazilians. But they are even better when you add the booty facial and vagacial because they help with things like booty acne, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation (dark marks), ingrown hairs and so much more. They are really beneficial for the body and it’s always great to pamper yourself; especially when you can get it all done in one day and place!
What is most rewarding?
The most rewarding thing for me is being able to help so many people. Clients have come to me telling me how they’ve felt insecure and after they see me they feel so much more confident in their skin, and they really show it. That’s what makes me get up and do this every day despite setbacks, stress, or anything else. Being able to follow my dreams at 21 years old, helping so many men and women feel good, having people purchase my skincare and see the amazing results, It’s so rewarding and I’m always grateful to be able to do it.
Where do you get your inspiration from daily?
I really love reading a lot of quotes, definitely, WomanOnTop is one of my favorite types of posts to see and share because it’s always on point. I think other than skincare I really just like to be empowering, I like to feel good, strong and powerful and I think to make other women feel like that is inspiring to me. Everyday women inspire me. For my skincare, I get inspired by nature. I’ve always felt connected to plants, the natural colors, smells, just the overall feeling. That’s definitely the inspiration for my skincare.
What does the future hold? Where is the company headed?
So far for now I’m focusing on just making my brand more known to people. I really want to shift the way people look at skincare. I am planning on having a couple of drops this year for new skincare I have been working on for a while now. So be on the lookout. Definitely want to expand, I want to have a warehouse one day for all of my products to call home so I have a lot of work to do. I want to come up with more products to put in Lavish Box which is a black-owned vending if machine beauty supply in Detroit. It’s honestly amazing. My company is headed for greatness. I can’t wait to be where I want to be, where I’ve worked so hard to be, so I can help more people, my community, and my family.
